I have stolen Solana's meme. Because I can, so there. And to try and get myself motivated to write again.

Gourry made the mistake, once, of asking Lina if she remembered the song she and Amelia had sung when they thought it was a holy spell. Her resulting embarrassment had resulted in a rather thorough beating and being kicked out of her presence for the rest of the day.
Gourry felt that was rather unfair. He couldn't find the words to tell her that he'd only asked because he really liked her singing voice.
7 (whisper)
He knew if they spoke, they'd start fighting. So instead, he leaned his forehead gently against hers, and whispered.
8 (addiction)
Gourry knew that sometimes he had moments of stupidity. Sometimes he was a little tactless, or forgot small details. He knew that sometimes he was more of a hindrance to Lina than a help. He knew that he annoyed her.
But she never told him to leave, and as long as she didn't, he never would.
Because sometimes, when he was awake keeping watch, he would go and peek into her tent just to watch her sleep. Sometimes, he'd catch her by surprise, and when she smiled at him it was the brightest thing in the world.
He would never leave her willingly. She was his family when he wasn't sure he had any other, she was his traveling companion and a fellow fighter, and so much more. He would follow that red hair and flat chest to the ends of the earth and beyond.
For as long as she'd have him, he would follow.

"And what have we learned from all this?"
Gourry paused, trying to recall, and Lina resisted the urge to hit him over the head. It usually tended to result in about a 60/40 chance of distracting him versus jogging his memory, anyway. "Umm..."
Lina twitched, fists clenching all on their own.
"Oh!" Gourry thumped his fist into the palm of his other hand, and for a moment Lina entertained a brief spark of hope. "We shouldn't ever trust Xellos to order alcohol for us, right?"
Lina face faulted.
10 (razzle dazzle)
"Lina," Gourry spoke out of the corner of his mouth, managing not to move his lips much. "Is this really necessary?"
"Of course," Lina spoke in a similar manner, cheesey smile pasted firmly in place for the benefit of their audience. "How else are we supposed to get in?"
"But this bra itches!"
Lina twitched, turning her head to glare at him. "Now look, jellyfish brains, you say that every time-!"
"Um, Lina...?"
"Don't you 'um Lina' me!"
And then the spells started to fly.
