Phoophara
So, today went really well. For those who I haven't told yet, I got a job offer (recruiter/headhunter agency I've been working with), had a phone interview the same day, within three hours actually, and got invited in for a real interview the next day. I've already been told they wanted the possition filled, like, yesterday, and that was confirmed by the interview, as it was mentioned that they had a really high work load. That means no qualified candidate has been seen yet, and they are desperate. That + really good interview = new job. Contract gig, for six months, at any rate, but the pay rate is great, so hey, whatever! Works for me. Maybe it'll be a full time job after that. Not sure that's what I want to do, or if I want to finance my own small buisness.
Anyway, QA possition, reasonable company. Good stuff. Only minor thing (for me), is that it's a MS house, but they aren't preachy about it. I prefer unix for server stuff, but again, I'm not preachy about it, just my thing, so there you go. Not really an issue since they have well deveided department responsibilities, so I won't be expected to, say, configure a server for testing, I'll be expected to test. Like, you know, I got hired to do. Anyway.
So, I'm jazzed. And I started painting again today, after a two and a half week stall out that had me bummed about it. Finally finished two peices that had been waiting to be done for a while, and finished the basecoating on the final peice that I inteded to complete... as last month's project. Yeah. Ah well, as long as I'm enjoying painting again, finish him in a night or two should work out. Then I can work on the peice for this month.
