General
Canon Source: Disgaea series
Canon Format: Primarily video games on Playstation 2/Playstation 3, with a few ports here and there. There was also an anime and a short manga, but I am not taking any influences from them.
Character's Name: Flonne
Character's Age: I am not certain of the exact age of this character. Many of the characters in the series are supernatural and don't age as normal. As of the second game she was 1512 years old and I am undercertain how much time has passed in the canon since then. A good way to think of it is that for each 100 years of a non-human Disgaea characters, 1 year would pass for a human. Thus, Flonne has the appearance of a girl in her mid-teens.
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played.
What form will your character's NV take? A flip-open hand-held device, similiar to some cellphones as well as the communicators from the original Star Trek, in the shape of a cartoony cutesy Prinny. A Prinny looks like this:
http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=447551 Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Flonne has access to magic that can be both used for self-defense and for the healing of others. She is able to use fire, wind, and ice-based magics, as well as spells which can heal wounds. These healing spells only handle flesh wounds and do nothing to do things like removing bullets or setting bones, though if the bone had already been set she could hasten its mending. She also has access to some limited holy magic which generally takes the form of feather-shaped arrows. Being holy basically just means that they don't fall under her normal magic and wouldn't give her any more of an advantage against the the darkness and the creatures that live in it then any other type of spell would. Lastly, the blood of an angel, if consumed, is able to purify one's body of disease or poisons, unless said conditions are immune to the effects of magic. This has the side effect of making her resistant, though not immune to common poisons and illnesses.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? I believe that her magical abilities are enough and won't be requesting any additional power for her.
Weapons: At the time of her apping, the only weapon that Flonne has is a staff with a Prinny-like shape on its end. It is useful for channeling magic through, as spells cast while holding it are stronger then those cast bare-handed. It has this effect for anyone carrying it, not just Flonne. It will only enhance spells which are similiar in nature to her own, as in spells used to attack one's enemies or to heal one's allies. It wouldn't, for instance, help empower a summoning ritual.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: The early parts of Flonne's life are not covered in the canon. It is safe to assume that she never left Celestia (basically the Disgaea version of Heaven) until the events of the first Disgaea game. At this time she was merely a mere angel trainee, with the little wings and limited power that went with the position. She remained in Celestia until she was given a special mission by the man who lead the angels, Seraph Lamington. This mission was to travel to the Netherworld, a world filled with demons, to assassinate the Overlord of the demons, King Krichevskoy. She arrived to find that he had already died and that his son, Prince Laharl, had taken control. Shocked by Laharl's seeming lack of remorse that is father had died, Flonne opted to remain in the Netherworld and live alongside Laharl and his vassals to see if the rumors that demons were all horrible monsters were true. She had been sent to kill the leader of the demons after all, if the new leader proved to be vicious, her mission might have still had purpose. What she found was that demons and angels weren't so different and were capable of getting along. She found herself growing to like the demons around her, and became influenced by them to the point her personality started to become a little less innocent.
Not all angels shared her view however, and one prominent archangel plotted to see the demons destroyed. When Flonne discovered angels were involved in attacking the Netherworld, she fought her way back into Celestia to find out if the attack had really been the will of the Seraph. In doing so, she was forced to fight against her fellow angels. When she came face to face with the Seraph, she was reassured that what had happened was not his will and the offending angel was punished for his transgressions. However, Flonne herself had sinned by hurting other angels and was also punished by being turned into a fallen angel. In the end, it proved to be more a reward then a punishment. There was little difference between Flonne as a fallen angel and as an angel trainee. Her wings became like those of a bat instead of feathery, and she grew a barbed tail, but other then that the only real difference was that the demon's Netherworld felt more like home to her. That is why it was more of a reward then a punishment.
This is a relatively simplified version of the events of the first game, the one where Flonne had the most important part of the plot. After this, Flonne decided to stay in the Netherworld for some time, living alongside her demon friends. The second game did not feature her prominently, having her appear as only a bonus character with little importance to the story and no real development. By the time the third game rolled around, she was no longer considered a fallen angel. Having restarted her training as a proper angel and proving she had what it took, her status as a fallen angel was reversed. Impressed by her ability to look past the obvious and understand a person based on their actions rather then merely who or what they are, Flonne was granted not just the position of angel, but was made a leader among the angels of Celestia, an archangel. As an archangel, she was responsible for making sure order was kept in Celestia as well as the training of new angels. In a sidestory to the third game is where she is first introduced as an archangel, and offers words of advice to a demon who is seeking a way to help her friend.
The fourth game, currently the most recent, has her as a background character for most of the game. Expecting a disaster in the world of humans due to increasing levels of violence and a general lack of positivity in the world, Flonne sends an angel she had trained by the name of Artina to collect money from a troubled demon netherworld, one different from the one where her friend, former prince and current Overlord, Laharl, lives. Flonne's role in the story doesn't occur until almost the end where it is revealed what the money that had been collected was for. While it was used to save the human world, Flonne spent the money gathered by her faithful servant to build a gigantic robotic version of herself, the "Guardian of Justice" Great Flonzor X. Despite the ridulousness of it, she showed more wisdom then was evident when her giant robot was able to stop a plan to destroy Earth by dropping the moon on it by simply holding the moon in place. After this event, Flonne steps into the background again until the events of the story are resolved and she is caught up in their aftermath. The story concludes with an indirect confrontation with God himself, where the characters save the Human world from a different sort of destruction. When the Disgaea universe was created, "failsafe" of sorts was built into the universe to destroy a planet if its inhabitants grew too filled with malice and hatred. For the first time in the history of the universe this failsafe was halted before it finished its task, saving the human world. However, in doing so the energy that was intended to vanquish the earth was set free and caused abnormalities in the demon world, causing people to take their most dominant personality trait to an extreme and for those around them to find this perfectly natural. It was because of this loose energy that Flonne briefly ended up as the leader of an entire world of demons, intent on teaching them about love and peace. Eventually some sense was knocked into her and she helped to discover what was going wrong. The energy set loose by the halted failsafe had found a host in the eternal cameo character Asagi. She's a recurring joke in the company's games, a supposed main character who never had a game made starring her, a fact which annoys her to no end. Her desire to be accepted was what had been reshaping the world and, upon her defeat, the universe went back to normal until either the next game or whenever they decide to release additional story, whichever comes first.
Point in Canon: After the events of the fourth game have been resolved. Flonne, having done her part to safeguard both the human and demon worlds, decided to stay among the demons of the demon world of the fourth game, to see if they were like the ones she was familiar with. It was from there, not Celestia, that she was pulled.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:
Character Personality: At her core, Flonne is a good person. She genuniely enjoys helping others and sees doing so as one of the most important things a person can do. She will actively go out of her way to do so, and would gladly put herself at risk to help someone in need. The most important words to her are "love" and "justice". She will frequently preach about the power that love has over a person, how one should always try and resolve their differences peacefully, and the virtue of living a just life. She tries her best not to be rude and offensive and is generally a very easy person to get along with.
This is not to say that she is a perfect little angel. At times she can be a little pushy with her ideas, and has a hard time understanding why people might not agree with her. The concept that someone just can't understand that being nice and kind is how everyone should act is so bizarre to her that it isn't easy to drill into her head that not everyone thinks that way. Furthermore, she is a little hypocritical in the fact that for all her talk of love and justice, she is entirely willing to resort to violence, and not just as self defense. This is not to say that she will just lash out at people for the mere "crime" of disagreeing with her. However, if she thinks that someone is up to no good and trying to do harm to others she won't simply sit back and wait for it to happen.
She is normally easy-going about everything and willing to forgive if a genuine apology is given, but there are two things which will make her horribly angry. She takes a lot of pride in her position as an archangel and mocking it as if it meant nothing is enough to drive her into annoyance and even screaming fits if one was particularly mean about it. The other is a little silly and self-centered. She is quite sensitive about the size of her chest. Calling her flat-chested is one of the gravest crimes a person can commit, and will almost certainly drive her into an insult throwing rage very unbecoming of an angel. They're mocking an angel, after all!
One can't spend all their time wandering the world preaching about love and justice but even still, her devotion to such things flavors Flonne's hobbies as well. She is an entirely unashamed fan of superheroes, and feverishly collects all things involving them. Given the choice between a handful of diamonds and a limited edition collectible dvd set of her favorite superhero tv show, the only reason she would pick the diamonds is because it'd let her buy the other one anyway. The Disgaea universe has its own superheroes, so she wouldn't be fourth walling anyone, but if she were to discover that someone was some sort of hero, then she is going to be a great deal nicer to that person and probably try to befriend them. She sees those who go out of their way to do heroic deeds as the greatest people ever, and aspiring to be like them is one of her biggest driving forces.
While she may seem to have a lot of flaws, there was a reason she was picked as an archangel. Underneath her rantings about love and justice, underneath every silly action she takes, there lies a girl that is much wiser then she appears. When she sees someone, she is never influenced by the way they look. As someone who has befriended humans, seen demons who weren't as cruel-hearted as rumor says, and seen an archangel take his idea of justice to an unhealthy extreme, she looks past sterotype and rumor to try and discover the truth. Her previous experiences have also made her realize just what happens if you take the concepts she holds so dear to thier furthest extremes, so despite the fact that she may sometimes seem to go a little love-and-justice crazy, she's quite aware of what happens if she lets such things control her. She isn't going to start destroying people for their "evil" ways.
She is actually unlikely to destroy anyone at all. Taking a life is something she absolutely tries to avoid and even when she is inevitably made to fight against darkness creatures, she's still going to feel bad about it. She'll probably try to communicate with them before fighting them.
Overall, she is a nice person, one who easily makes friends and forgives transgressions. Despite occasionally getting overly excited, she genuinely believes the world would be a better place if people treated each other better, and when push comes to shove, will stand up for that belief. She might occasionally lose her temper, but will almost always forget about it after the moment has passed.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game:
Character Plans: The path that Flonne takes is going to vary wildly depending on the sort of people she gets into contact with. There is only so much Rp one can do about spouting LOVE AND JUSTICE without actually doing something. I intend for her to take on a role that allows her to help people in some way. This could also vary wildly. If the people she comes into contact with are relatively normal, she could simply find herself helping new arrivals adjust to the shocking change of not being in their world anymore. Alternatively, if she were to come into contact with some sort of superhero, it is just as likely the streets could find a masked angel calling herself Justice Flonne or something equally cheesy wandering them. Sure, the disguise wouldn't do much, but talking her out of it wouldn't be easy!

[For a few moments, nothing can be seen but a wall painted faintly pink. This view is quickly obscured by a pair of huge blue eyes peering directly into the feed. The owner of the eyes is quickly revealed as Flonne pulls away from the camera.]
"Good evening, loyal fans! Its that time again. You know the one, don't pretend you don't know!"
[She gives the camera a wink.]
"That's right! Its time for Flonne's Love Hour! And as a special treat to all my devoted followers of the ways of love, I've even started working on a themsesong for what will no doubt one day become the most beloved and watched video in the entire city!"
[Flonne clears her throat in a somewhat melodramatic manner before beginning to sing. Her singing voice is of average quality.]
"Whats the best way to live every day? The answer, of course, is with love! Whats the best way to make someone pay? Don't do that, instead give them love!"
[She pauses, a confused look coming to her face.]
"Hmmm...that took a lot longer to write then it did to sing. Anyway, on to the show! The topic for this evening is...."
[Her hands clench into fists and an excited look comes to her face.]
"Giant robots! These messengers of righteousness are frequently created by scientists. They are always heroes, unless the scientist is a mad scientist or if they are taken by an evil person who's terrible heart is filled with darkness, hatred, cobwebs, and...and...why would anyone even use something as cool as a robot for evil anyway? I don't understand!"
[It takes her a few seconds to calm down.]
"But surely my loyal viewers know what giant robots really are for. Like many things discussed on the Love Hour, they are great examples of love and heroism! The next time you see a giant robot, make sure you hug its ankle, because unless you're also giant thats about all you'll be able to reach. The best ones are actually powered by love, so by sharing yours with them, you will give them the power to defeat evil! Yes!"
[She throws her hands into the air in excitement, almost knocking over a vase of flowers in the process. She turns with a gasp, just barely catching it before it goes crashing down. She turns back as if it never happened.]
"Unfortunately I am unable to give you any footage of heroic robots in action. My own Giant Robot of Love didn't make it here with me."
[She pouts more then a little childishly.]
"B..but I'm sure that even without me, Flonne justice still flows from Celestia. Everyone make sure to say a prayer to giant robots tonight. Unfortunately, I don't actually have an hour's worth of show tonight. So sorry. I really should have planned this name better."
[She flashes the camera a smile, waving as if whoever was watching it was her best friend.]
"Until next time!"

It was a nice day. The sun shined high in the sky, with no cloud daring to get int the way of its vibrant rays. Shining nearly as bright was the attitude of a certain girl, one who was easily recognizable by those who had come to know her. Flonne had left her apartment this day on a quest, a mission of utmost importance. She had heard a rumor, and while she normally didn't pay attention to such things, this one was different.
She had heard that a copy of a certain dvd had shown up at a local pawn shop. With her entire dvd collection stuck in Celestia, finding out that a copy of "Prism Rangers: The Great Battle with Se-To-Oh" had been spotted was like a dream come true for her. She had almost made it to her destination before realizing that if it appeared, it would have had to have done so from her world. With that in mind, she just HAD to see it for herself. Of course what she really wanted to do was take it home and watch it, but it wouldn't hurt to do a little investigating while she was there.
The door of the pawn shop announced the angel's arrival with a jingling of bells. It took a lot of self control to not just rush the desk and demand to know where her coveted dvd was. She musters all the self control she can manage, and calmly walks to the desk, waiting patiently behind a customer making a purchase. She doesn't get so much as a glance from the store's owner. A girl with wings wasn't even that unusual in a city like this, and besides, he already had a customer. One who had just finished his purchase. Flonne peeked over his shoulder just as the man picked up his purchase and started to leave the store. It was as if a dagger had been driven through her heart. This man, this horrible man...he had bought it! Her beloved dvd was in the hands of another! So shocked and wounded was she, that she simply stood there slack-jawed as he walked out, and barely even noticed when the man behind the desk asked if she needed anything. It is nearly a minute before she snaps out of it, and with a purpose burning in her heart, rushes after the customer. "Noooo! Waiiit!" That dvd may have been purchased, but it wasn't gone for good. Flonne had a new mission now, a mission to track down the man who had bought her dvd! Investigating its origin would have to wait, there something more important to take care of!
