So I have this phone...
I bought a G2 a few months ago, shortly after I became employed again. The Nokia I was borrowing from Warp started to misbehave, ultimately culminating in its decision that I didn't need to have a conntact list any more. I, for my part, decided at that point that I didn't need to put up with bullshit like that from my phone, and went to talk to the good folks at my local T-Mobile store. The zen of the smartphone was still not strong with me, but I was starting to catch on, and anyway, having something that would actually work with my provider's 3/4G would be nice anyway, right?
Fast forward a few months, to last weekend. I'm sitting in my reserve squadron on my monthly training weekend being onuccopied, and in my boredom, SSH'd into a friend's colo, fixing a MU* server install that had gone awry. Somewhere between the SSH client and the MU* client, or possibly while listening to Pandora in my car over lunch, I reallized that I love the hell out of this phone. I can do things on this phone with only a little more trouble than I'd have using a full-fledged laptop for the same task, and consequently, I'm able to do and keep up with substantially more.
Like LJ. Maybe. We'll see. I've been really bad at keeping up with my friendslist lately, and absolutely horrific at keeping updated. I have an LJ client on my phone now, so I guess we'll see if I can't fix some of that. I have a twitter that I use a lot for small stuffs (@arcgryph, but be warned, there's lots of furry content there), but sometimes, you just can't fit complex thoughts into 140 characters. So...yeah. Maybe I'll post more than once a quarter now!
