So, a certain scientific supply house will not send Safranin O, a commonly used dye, to my home address because it's a "chemical" - but another will gladly ship me mounting media containing toluene (Entellan and Permount) as long as I pay extra because it's a "hazardous material." Brown will bring the nasty shit right to my door. Near as I can figure out , the Safranin O could irritate my eyes, while the mounting substances can fuck me up and/or blow me up. Figures, huh?
I'd really like to have the Safranin by Friday, but I don't think it's going to happen - between the supply place and whatever ground service they ship with and the college mail room. Plus, the college hasn't actually given me a mail box yet - they put all my stuff in R's box. I'm sure he's loving that.
