I'm probably going to get an RPG campaign going soon. I have a few ideas that I'm still kicking around in my head, but I'm going to develop the world fairly well before we get started. We're probably going to use a hybrid form of d6 that will take the basic rules from shadowrun, but with completely revamped skills, equipment, melee combat rules, etc. More or less, SR rules, but for a more fantasy based setting. (And I do use the term fantasy loosely, I'm pretty adamant about any game I run to be realistic based on the setting.) If you're confused, don't worry about it. I'll go over the basic rules before we begin.
Like I said, I'm still kicking ideas around in my head, but I have the general concepts down. It's going to be a fantasy-based setting, but with some degree of technology (probably not what you're thinking). No gunpowder, but arcane engines and weaponry exist. Arcane technology is rare, but the military power of many nations is based on it.
So if you get a character idea, let me know. I'm going with the core fantasy races (humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, dragons, e.t.c.), but I can work in just about anything. Except for a half-celestial half-dragon paragon furry rabbit. Then you get hit with the mace of ignorance.
By the way, it seems like we have no lack of players for once. Josh Anderson wants to join, and counting Carrie that brings our total up to seven (considering that Peter never wants to play RPGs).
