Soooo... Rock of Ages! By Grant Morrison, who you probably know I love with white hot crack passion! Some scans motivated me to write my apocalyptic cockblock bunny I was mumbling about the other day. Except there's no cockblocking! Just... an end of the world cliche :)(The art in those is not awesome, but the story is ( Read more... )

*sniffles* Oh, this was beautiful. So sad! But I'm so, so happy that this version of Bruce could know touch and comfort and love again before the end, because he so deserves it.

She says his name slowly, carefully. He trembles again. Diana knows no one has called him that in years, knows his body trembles not because he wants her, but because he can no longer still the pain.

So sad! *wails*

She will steal time from the world for this moment.

That's just gorgeous. I love your Diana's voice, she's all warrior and still capable of such depths of love...

She had always had her loyal boys, Bruce had always had his flying angels, Clark had always had his stubborn warriors.

Eeee, that's such a beautiful line. It mirrors Brad Melzter's take in JLA 0 so nicely, but where he focuses on how each of them feels outside, you focus on how that works to bring them together.

Bruce had been hers, theirs, just as she had been his and Clark’s, belonging to the circle of their arms for a minute or an hour before they had to belong to the world again.

The Trinity dynamic is so lovely, and I love how you work Lois into it--fairly, rather wistfully, and with the depth of emotion that continues to tie the Trinity together despite it all.

The crystal breaks, and Diana follows her long lost Knight into the abyss, the ghost of Kal in the electric current going through them as thundering pleasure.

Oh, man. I know we've been talking about the potentials for Electric Blue Superman and sex, but you just take that and make it sexy and mystical and deeply spiritual and so beautiful.

This was so perfect! I love your Trinity, it's so intense and moving, and I've never seen fic based on Rock of Ages and now I want to see more. :)

This version of Bruce kills me with the shivering and the paused speaking! he's so broken :( Though, he totally kicked ass and tricking Desaad into downloading himself into a motherbox! Desaad Bruce! eee!

I'm glad you liked Diana! her voice was all over the place, I think, because I wrote this through several days with very different moods... and I'm not really used to writing her. But she was so completely badass in Rock of Ages that I really wanted her to be the one in control, all warrior strength.

With the Trinity, I really like how they are friends as a group and as pairs. Bruce and Clark with their silly boy antics, Clark and Diana are an amazing example of male/female friendship in comics, they are really sweet together, and they make sense, and Bruce and Diana sort of... have this rascal air to them for me. Lois as the reason Clark killed himself tears me apart.. augh, Clark! but it shows just how much he cared about her. And it being Morrison's league, you know I sort of see them not in love, but in a fun rompy thing, which was much easier to mix with Clark's marriage. My guess is that Lois knew, and was okay with it. I mean, Morrison's Trinity is reaaaally way too big for normal attachments.

I'm so happy you liked the electric blue Superman sex! I like the ambiguity of that bit, it might be the ghost of Clark, or it might be wistful thinking, but it doesn't really matter since they know what it represents. This was really fun to work on, so I'm glad you liked it! Thank you for the catches, you sneaky kitten! *glomps*
