I'm stealing these because I asked for more than a bunch of drabbles from other people, so it seems it's only fair to reciprocate.
The first fifteen people to comment on this post get to request a drabble from you. In return, they have to post this meme in their journal. Post all fandoms you’re willing to write for.DC fandom, though I can probably

I can't keep stories short! why??? ..well. Little Bruce wouldn't allow me, so I guess that's why. Here it goes, Star! I hope you like it :)
...this doesn't fit in a single comment! what?? aughh.

Bruce usually wasn't allowed to attend Grown Up Parties. His Mother said he wouldn't like them, anyway, so he always stayed home with Alfred, though he sneaked peaks at the people dancing, drinking and talking when the parties were at the Manor. Mother was right in a sense, it didn't seem like it would be very fun to be there, but Bruce liked to watch people from the top of the stairs. Grown Ups usually didn't mean what they said or meant other things instead and did things that got them further away from what they really wanted, like that man who tried to be funny and made other people angry or that woman who was really nice to other men but wanted her husband to pay more attention to her.
Bruce really didn't get them, but he thought that if he looked more at them, someday he would understand. Mother said it was a matter of time, and that she almost hoped he never would, so he would stay her busy little Bee forever.
Bruce wasn't going to be a little Bee forever. He was going to grow up, and then he was going to tell people to stop being silly and everyone would make more sense then.
Tonight, Alfie had a cold, and Leslie was out of town, and Mother couldn't find a Nanny on time, so Bruce had to come to the Party, but he had to promise to be really good and be nice to people and not ask things that would embarrass his Father, and not play on the floor and not fall asleep on the coat room. Bruce was a big boy and he didn't need to be told those things, but Father always wanted to make sure he would behave.
Miss Clarissa was hosting the party, and she thought he was adorable and showed him where the entrees were, so he could pick something up. Bruce didn't like Grown Up Parties food, but he tried to be polite and picked a small brochette. Alfred taught him all kinds of names for Grown Up Party food, and Bruce thought it was all very silly. It was just food, and the names weren't even in English.

World's Cutest Detective! Eee! I always love the argument that bruce was unusual even before that night, and I think you've nailed his voice perfectly here. I so want to beg you to do a whole bunch of Little Bee stories now...

The World's Cutest Detective, LOL! Kids are very observant, and you know I'm partial to the 'being unusual even before Batman' theory, so it made sense. This little Bruce goes well with Quiet Revelations Bruce! they have the same ritual :)
I could write some short stories for Little Bee! 'Little Bee and the Aquarium: A Great Adventure or The Greatest Adventure?' ...LOL! I'm seeing them as kid books now, and cricking myself up. Okay, I gotta stop. Lalalaaa. I might write you one story with Little Bee and Clark, because I just got bitten by a bunny. It's been such a great weekend of writing!
