(FIC) For a very special Halloween... Dark Ride

Beware: the follow entry is nothing but me writing self serving fanservice. Shameless, panther-summoning, Jason-filled and cuddle-licious self-fanservice. I am not ashamed.

This is co-written with sasha_anu. She, the wonderful evil queen she is, did the beta and rewrote all of Etrigan's rhymes. Mine sucked, but she did an amazing job. There's also the much ( Read more... )

I know you're a Gotham girl, but you can muster some affection for Metropolis too!

I sure can! I love cities in general. I'm just much more familiar with Gotham thanks to Cat-tales, and.. well. Dark, gothic city where anything can happen, that sort of has a life of its own, a dark, demanding but loving mistress... yeah, I love Gotham. For some reason, too, I think of Metropolis as a male city, while I think of Gotham as a female city. I am completely bonkers...

Whoah. That paragraph is The Sex, it really is. And I love that Bruce is somewhat flustered by this.

Isn't Jason awesome? You should see the kind of look he gave Bruce in my head. I loveee those two, and Jason can see those two are destinied, so he just teases to make Clark grumble. Also, Bruce being passive to Jason's shenanigans is canon. And I find that very sexy, for some reason.

I really like writing pre-slash, it's so much... easier. but the Jason/John, Clark/Bruce story will demand settles couples, and we'll see how I fare there... I'm glad my cracky trip didn't dissapoint you :) panther-Bruce licks his paws in joy :D

Pre-slash is where all the pleasure is for me as well, frankly. I love the tension, the more subtle interplays between people than just plain making out. And I'm a huge fan of guys deluding themselves about who they really love, and Bruce walks right into that paradigm so delightfully! Your Clark does here as well, which is just wonderfulllll...

Nope, you're just using the old Pagan notions of the sun as male and the moon as female. :) What a great Halloween story! Halloween is my favorite holiday and this story fit right in. Clark as the solar battery and volunteering right away to fix the imbalance, and Bruce as his spirit guide. Lovely, lovely!

You know, you're right! I never rationalizated why I thought Gotham and Metropolis had gender.. but it makes sense. In english there's only neutral pronouns, but in spanish it is 'el dia, el sol' (the day, the sun) (masculine) and 'la noche, la luna' (the night, the moon) (femenine). So that's probably where it comes from! Thanks for the insight!

I'm very happy you liked the story! It was a lot of fun to write it, and Sasha did such a wonderful job with the rhymes! she rocked so hard :) Halloween is a great holiday for cracky fic, so I'm glad this fit in!
