Hello, my rant-pal! :) *hugs* I had to do it! The Bruce muse is smiling quietly, because though it is sad... in my head, in a way, it kind of isn't. It's a relief to know that the world doesn't weight on your shoulders that no matter how bad you screw up or do right, there's still many others with the same power that you have (and I'm speaking about metas here too. They are not unique, and more will come with time) Every one of us has a chance to make a better world, and maybe we won't change it for good, but he tried. And he inspired others to try. It's... not so sad, is it?
He went without fanfare, and he didn't mind. He did his best while he could (fighting for the good side of humanity represented by Harvey), he had a family he loved (represented by the heroes protecting Gotham) and he inspired others to try to find their own way (represented by Jason). So there. The world doesn't stop for anyone. Not even for Superman... ... eh, I mean... :P Batman is just a guy with a drive to do extraordinary things. And drive is somethig we all have. I wrote death fic to inspire myself, I'm weird, I know.
