So, I had to give it a go, since my muses are sort of not cooperating now that I actually have time to write. This isn't beta'd, so any corrections and the like are more than welcome, as usual :)

Tied Up

“This sucks,” Wally commented, looking at the restraints in his hands and legs. He looked around the small cargo wagon, feeling the vehicle gaining speed. “This really, really sucks.”

“We’re going to get out of here, Flash,” Diana reassured him, trying to force the locks on her handcuffs.

“I know. It still sucks,” Flash complained, trying to vibrate out of the devices holding him. It was useless.

“Well, whose fault is it anyway?” Superman grumbled, obviously nonplussed. Batman mumbled something that sounded like ‘Exactly’ but was muffled by a gag.

“Hey, you can’t be seriously blaming me for this.” The visor that kept Superman from firing his heat vision left enough face visible for Wally to read a look that said Superman obviously blamed him. “Your powers waned, how was I supposed to know?”

“I told you to keep your hands off those things. I told you not to bring them, and you didn’t listen to me.”

“They were going to burn down!”

“They were bombs!”

“They looked like eggs!”

“We’re trapped and we’re going to be sold as slaves! I AM blaming you!!”

Wally sulked as Clark breathed hard, trying to reign in his unusually flaring temper. A dense silence filled the wagon. Behind the gag, Batman muttered something that sounded remarkably like ‘Superman’s cranky’ and chuckled.

Superman turned towards the prone figure of Batman, who was lying on his side, his restraints much more intricate than the ones his teammates wore. “This isn’t funny, Bruce.”

The chuckle turned into a laugh that was muffled by the gag. Frowning, Clark turned towards the direction he knew Diana was sitting. “We’re tied with the lasso, aren’t we?”

“My lasso is tying us together over the other restraints,” Diana said with a smile. The way Batman looked, tied up from head to toes, laughing at Superman, it was almost worth the trouble.

Batman mumbled something, and started wriggling his way out of the first set of chains. Somehow, he had picked one of the locks.

“What’s the Bat mumbling about?” Wally asked, giving Superman a kicked puppy look that was wasted on the temporarily blinded man.

“He said we better not start making heartfelt confessions that might scar him for life,” Clark answered, a little more calm, finally giving up on his restraints and leaning against the wall.

Flash raised an eyebrow. “That’s a mouthful for a man with a leather kink.”

Diana snickered, and Batman mumbled something else.

“He says he doesn’t have a leather kink,” Clark started translating, then stopped and blushed.

“What was that?”

Batman chuckled again behind the gag, and repeated a little more clearly. ‘But Clark does.’

Superman blushed furiously under his companions raised eyebrows. “This sucks.”

Silence filled the wagon again, and though she couldn’t pick her handcuffs, Diana started working on the lasso. After the first loops were released, Wally had enough wriggling space to take Superman’s visor off.

Superman’s eyes burned red and started melting Flash’s cuffs just as Batman got rid of a second set of chains. Clark had to stop what he was doing, though, as Batman’s legs bent forward until his knees were touching his forehead, he rolled onto his back and pulled his hands from behind himself, arching until his hands were in front of him and not chained behind his back. The last set of restraints fell to the floor; Batman pulled the gag off and finally picked the handcuffs with his mouth.

“Woah,” Wally said, staring at the man. “That was kind of hot.”

Clark swallowed and nodded, intense blue eyes looking into the white lenses of the cowl.

“Uhm, guys,” Diana intervened, a smile tugging at her lips, “the lasso is already off.”

Wally flushed, trying to look anywhere but at his teammates. Superman just kept staring at his partner, his eyes hungry, a slow smile taking over his features. The wagon was too small, though, and Wally had to look up eventually, only to find Superman’s smile being matched by Batman’s smug grin.

“This sucks,” Flash mumbled. “This really, really sucks.”
