So.. I went to watch X3 yesterday. All I have to say is that I hate Halle Berry, I hated her at the begining and I hate her still. She ruins my fun with her bad, bad acting. That's not Storm! That's.. some girl. Very un-Stormy. Meh.
Also, I have never liked Cyclops the character and I have no love for the guy who plays him, but really, that was sad! Poor guy! He was totally obliterated from the movie.
The cameos were cool, and I LOVE Kelsey Grammer. He had mad skillz. Also, Xavier is a dick. He always has been, and always will be, for eternity, and Patrick Steward rocks. Also, Gandalf! And Rebecca Romijn... mmmm. I'm only human!
So, anyway. I just ordered the first TBP of Starman (because after reading the wiki entry for The Shade, I couldn't resist). So I'm hoping James Robinson is a good writer, because I also ordered the first TBP of the new JSA... mostly because I have an insane love for the JSA, born out of who knows where, for it's not like I have read much of them. But well, I'm willing to put up with the Hawkman continuity if the trades are good :)
Which brings me to my next question. After Vol. 3, the JSA is written by Geoff Johns. So. What is the public opinion about him again? I can't remember if he's genius or if he's a dick. I could check out the other stuff he's written and remember if I liked those or not, but... I have the inkling that this is one of the authors that aces some stuff and botches others. In conclusion, is the Johns' run of JSA good? Anyone knows?
I also bought Lullaby, the first TBP. It's drawn by a friend of my brother, who lives here, and then published by the Dark Horse by the amazing thing that is The Internet. He's hysterical so I'm sure I'll have a great time, and he has a great writer. Besides, the premise, fairy tale creatures outside fairy tale scenarios is pretty neat.
I'm out of money, it's sad. I'll go back to reading Supreme now...
fannish,
