Happy birthdayyyy
taro_twist!! I wrote this story a bit ago in a state of complete exhaustion (
mithen prompted it! the story, no the exhaustion...) and here it is, for youuuuu!
Title: My favorite book
Rating: G
Characters: Clark Kent
Word Count: 1000+
Summary: Clark is many things, and he's a writer at heart.
(
I thought the book was a monster but maybe not? Could be, though! )
And I love the little character details about Clark that are slipped in, especially the one about him having one period where he felt comfortable with himself and the world. I tend to think of him always in a state of turmoil -like once he comes to terms with one thing then life is already throwing another thing at him he has to deal with- and there's something so awesomely normal and realistic about the idea of him having a time when he's just content with life as it is and not worrying about his destiny or anything.
And the idea of the writer of the book (which I guess is just the book itself!) being an Experience Collector is great! No wonder the book loves Clark so much ... it gets to feast on Superman's experiences! And I just really like that this is Clark's favorite book because of the limitless possibilities of what its story might be and because of how it can spark his imagination.
And I love this line: And each time Clark does, the book tells him who he is right back.
I hope the book and Clark reach some sort of symbiotic equilibrium in their relationship and that he doesn't have to destroy it! :S
Thank you thank you thank you so much for the present fic!!!! Such awesome creepiness and intrigue and characterization. :D

I gotta admit I grabbed on to the feeling of one summer of joy in his teens because I had one, lol, just.. right after I turned 18 and I thought life could NOT be shittier, things.. sort of settled for a while and I had a wonderful summer. Then things went back to normal! lol, but.. maybe Clark had some time to just be happy with Pete and Lana and his family and not worry too much? it feels.. like he should! he deserves one!
I don't know what the deal is exactly with Clark and the book, I think the book wants to.. consume Clark but Clark won't let it? doesn't let it? doesn't know how he's not letting it? Lol, I have no idea, it was a strange story to write but it did feel very creepy and.. wrong, so I think the book is up to no good, but I also think that as long as *Clark* has is it won't be able to damage anyone.. maybe not even Clark, who knows.
Thank youuu for being so awesome and for giving me the opportunity to share in the joy of your birthday, sis! you rock :3
