I am reading 'House of Leaves'. It is so incredibly frustrating, I want to smash the book around, lol. vigilante_wake kindly gave it to me as a present, and I am actually enjoying the story a lot, but urgg arggg I also want to punch the book in the mouth for being so smug!!! 'See Appendix IV' *goes to see Appendix IV, 500 pages away from where she's reading* '

LOL, you are so not an annoying friend! You're an awesome, interesting, fun friend! you are the Kitten to my Ferret! :P Lol, the book does remind me of one of the boys, though. My friend Oscar? oh man he is so this book. I love him dearly and sometimes I wish I could hang out with him all the time, and then sometimes it's punch in the mouth time.

Are we on Chapter 5 on Graveyard Book? I'm still in chapter 4, but I guess you read a bit over the weekend? I'll try to catch up! And I hope the first day of school goes well :)

I finished Chapter 4 but will hold off on Chap. 5 for a bit!

The first day of classes went okay--the classes were fine! However, we had a student freak out in the hallway, screaming at the top of his lungs for about an hour and pounding on the wall hard enough to rattle the magnets off Dan's door. It was really frightening! My nerves were totally shot...it was kind of a relief to finally get to classes... @_@

I'm sorry you had such a stressful situation to deal with! meeep! poor student, what happened to him? Too much anxiety? I'm gonna guess that kind of breakdown is not.. something common, is it? Poor guy :( Hope he's doing better...

I shall hurry to Chapt. 5! But free time is a bit scarce around here right now, alas... (free time and snarking time! I'll have time between classes your Thursday night if you're around! Tomorrow is a zoo...)

From what Dan could make out, the student was thrown out of the class for cheating, but his argument was that the professor was nicer to the female students than him. He was pretty vehement! I could understand him saying the professor wasn't even human and should die...that wasn't a good thing to hear...

Dan had a student throw a fire extinguisher through a window (in a different class) once! Besides that it's usually pretty sedate. The male students are under a LOT of stress, especially as graduation approaches...
