Bleh... OK, so I couldn't think of a better title for this entry 'cuz I'm pretty tired. So sue me. o_O That 8086 Assembly Language programming takes a lot out of ya, especially if you've had no prior experience with ASM. Oh well, just glad to have that damn project behind me. - insert sigh of relief here -
It's been a little over a month since Laurie and I broke up. Thank God it was a healthy, mutual break-up, and Laurie and I still remain good friends to this day. :) It's quite tough to completely let go of someone with whom you've enjoyed being in a relationship. However, my status of being single might be short-lived. X)
I met Andrea a few weeks ago at the computer lab and ended up helping her with her Java programming assignment. Being that it was the intro Java course, helping her finish her program was a breeze. :p Afterwards, we strolled over to the commons to grab a bite to eat, had a pretty nice get-to-know-each-other conversation, and ended up swapping phone numbers with each other. Of course, I'll definitely continue to help her out with her Java programming, but if our little friendship blossoms into something more then so be it. X) Although she wants to thank me by being the one to handle the bills on our first date, I won't let her. The first date is always on me. :p Being able to help out someone and be appreciated is enough of a reward in itself. I did see her at the lab this evening after the CS club meeting (more on that later), and we ended up at Barnes and Noble. O_o Doesn't really count as our first "official" date, but still all the more a pleasant experience in and of itself. Yes, I did buy her a cappuccino and got a hot chocolate for myself. X) I also bought a copy of Jon Stewart's "America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction." Such a purchase is pretty justified since his show is my main source of news, sometimes my only source. :p
BTW, Andrea happens to be 26 years old. Do the math - 4 years my senior. X) Of course, I've got nothing against older women. Guess it's just a fetish of mine. :p
