Hilda has gone on to a happier home with an Audi enthusiast from Boston, and I've got a $500 check.
The only trouble is deciding what to do with it. Should I be responsible and use it to offset my sorry financial situation? Should I be charitable? Should I buy those gorgeous knee-high boots I've been drooling over?
The last time I had a big chunk of money, I bought my laptop, and I never regretted it. The time before that, I paid off all of my credit card debt, and I never regretted that either. That might just mean I'm too flaky to regret much, but I'd like to think it's because I did the right thing.
In addition to being flaky, I'm also indecisive, which means I need you all to tell me what to do. So:
