So I gave my two weeks at the salon this past Wednesday. It was a pretty straight forward note I left. All it said was " My last day will be July 28th. Thanks, Amber". Around 3:00 I get called back into the office ny my manager and she says to me "What, is this all I get?". It was really funny to me considering that she had an hour long ( Read more... )

Good luck on your job change :) Im sure you'll have a great chance of finding new work, if you put in 7 years at a place that wouldn't promote you (knowing you deserve it) then you should have no troubles. It also shows great loyalty and paitence.

Haha July 28th is turning out to be an active day! So much going on!

I haven't been with them for 7 years, I just have that much experience in the industry. I hope your flight and all that goes well. We are excited to meet you in person.

Saw a commercial earlier and thought you might like to check this site out, they buy homes and such. Not sure if its a great price or not, but figured it be worth a shot :)

Congratulations on standing up for yourself. I'm sure you'll do well finding a place to appreciate your talents.

Seriously, that takes guts. Good for you.

Asking for anything there is like asking to be knifed in the back. Quitting is an even greater sin in their eyes.

Good luck to you!

I get the feeling that they really don't know what they want from their employees. It sucks, because I like my co-workers but I can't stay there. Thanks, and I'm happy you got to see your grandma to say your farwells. That is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.

Good luck in all you do. I had a similar experience working for Cingular. I was doing all the technical work, handling escalations that were at Regional Manager level, and training classes but they still wouldn't pay me more than what the basic floor reps were making. Sometimes you just need to jump ship and swim for something else.

Go to Planet Labs in Tiffany Plaza. Hand your resume to Zanna, tell her I sent you and who you are blah blah. Cherry Creek Planet Labs NEEDS someone like you. Do this SOON cause Zanna is going to have the baby in any day now. Its an Aveda salon so you have what they are looking for. Stick with them for a while and then we can steal you when Z and I open our own Salon in a year or so.

xoxo

I'll check them out, but I need to stay around $11-12 an hour. Do you think they could pay me that?
