For some unforeseen reason I've completely neglected the use of my LiveJournal account. I don't really know why either.
Actually that's a lie. I do know why, it's just hard to talk about it in such a way that I can assert all the emotion I feel is necessary into the topic without it sounding like "fact".
I am of course referring to my legal battles with the company I was affiliated with just after leaving AiW, the same company I worked 54 weeks with no pay for (personal note: never do that). Until just recently, the legal battle had waged, first starting with a demand for arbitration (corporate court not involving any legal system rather using an unbiased 3rd party), then into settlement where they demanded far too much for it to be anywhere near an equal settlement, and into a full blown "I sue you and you counter sue me" case. Recently they filed for a "non-suite" which to me sounds like they've given up.
We'll see.
Opposing the drama, I have been making a quite lucrative existence designing web sites and demo sites for people going after venture capital. I've designed several design studio websites (tremendous honor) and have done work as a subcontracted designer for government work as well.
But all work and no play makes Matt a dull boy.
I've finished leveling my 3rd toon in WoW and have completed PvP gearing my Paladin. Retribution Paladins when geared well, will rip some face... Working on my warrior right now, so I will have the potential of having one of each class for when the expansion hits Nov 13th. I have an UBER dps hunter, I could respec my paladin to heals, and I DO plan on gearing my warrior as a tank once he hits 80 cap.
I've also begun playing a wondrous game called SPORE. This game is like 5 games in one. You start off as a single celled organism and work your way up to sentience through eating/killing depending on what evolutionary path you want to take. Once you make your first brain growth, you get to move onto land, where you can either befriend other species or eat them. You get to decide. Then once you establish and further evolve on land, you become a tribe and either expand as one with other tribes or rip them down and steal their land. Eventually the scale broadens into the black ocean of space where the game really opens up. I thought I could sink tons of time into only one game, well that's not the case anymore.
I need more work. I'm starting to get bored and I need something that genuinely challenges me (laziness aside).
