SPRING BREAK

Ahahahahah I've been around you guys, honest. It's just Spring Break and I've been too busy running around to post, though I've been making an effort to comment as often as I can. Today is actually the first day I haven't really had any plans with other people, though I have plans to watch a movie with my mother this evening ( Read more... )

Haha I have to convince myself not to go out and buy all the seasons of Psych, though I may anyway.

Although, if you're forreal not wanting to spend the money, maybe check them out at the library or something? Or find them at a second hand book store? :-p

I let my parents buy Psych, then steal it from them when they're done. XD I'm more inclined to watch and rewatch shows than they are.

I do have the cash, I'm just not sure I need to spend it right now, you know? I won't die without these comics. They're not really going anywhere. I can go buy them later, no harm, no foul. I just seem to help but want them; the story is so amazing and I'm so eager to know what happens next.

...And if I do go out now and buy them, I can come home and use it as a reward for getting work done. No reading until I finish another spread for my magazine, or something. Which isn't a bad idea, really.

You are one smart lady!!

Yes I completely understand. Having money "to burn", so to speak, can be such an amazing yet dangerous situation to be in! You are able to buy things just because you want them, yet if you get carried away you are back in the hole!

You should use them as a reward to BUY them and read them after you have completed whatever you want to do. What magazine are you writing for?

Also, if I recall, you are a graphic designer. What programs do you use? Robert is also a graphic designer and mainly uses Photoshop. Is that a program you also tend to use? I am so rusty with it!

It really is. And I tend to burn through money like fire burns through paper...but only around once a year. The rest of the year I save and save well. XD I just feel hella guilty when I do start spending, even if I'm pretty frugal otherwise. :/

I...actually did just that. XDXD;;; They're good motivators! I'm just having a hard time finding a stopping point at the moment. I keep wanting to call it a day 'cause I'm getting a little burnt out, but I still feel like I should do more.

I'm actually not writing for a magazine, but designing a layout for a fictional one. It's for one of my design classes. X3

Oh, really? That's cool! I generally use a mix of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Depending on the project I'll use one more often than the other, but sometimes (like with this project) I integrate all three like a mad scientist.

Everyone needs an outlet!

Ahh, how long do you have until you are graduated?

Ahh. Photoshop is the only one I have tried to use, though, admittedly, I am fairly novice at it. I did enjoy your wolf avatars, however! I assume you used a combination of the programs to make them?

Indeed!

With luck, I'll be out in December. Otherwise, another year. I'll be a super senior!

I love Photoshop. And Illustrator. And InDesign. XD It just depends on what I'm trying to do, really. They're a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. What version do you have?

I did! The drawings were done by hand, inked in Photoshop, re-inked in Illustrator, colored in Photoshop, and then the text arrangement was all done in InDesign.
