Busy weekend!

-Had an appointment with the eye doctor on Friday and managed to snag myself a pair of classy new glasses. They are black and bold and have two small flowers pressed into either side. I love them very much, though I'm still getting kinda used to them. Now I just need to convince my mother to let me get a pair of sunglasses so I can have something to wear while I'm driving.

-Spent the rest of the day with my dad, watching Food Network. It was fabulous. I don't get to see my daddy enough anymore. He had to go to work at four, though, and I went to pick up my glasses before heading back to the house. We had Thai take out that night, one of my favorite things ever. Spent the rest of the evening watching Aliens on TV. I had forgotten how much I adore/am terrified of that film.

-Went shopping with my mother on Saturday, which is always kind of fun. Ended up buying two preeeeetty awesome (IMHO) t-shirts featuring Marvel characters (one of them I really couldn't say no to because of the way it was done: each character started out in full color, faded to grayscale, and then to a line drawing. THE DESIGN STUDENT IN ME WAS VERY PLEASED).

-Saw Moon finally! I loved it a lot. No, really, a lot. It's right up there with District 9 in terms of movies I am now and hopefully always shall be in love with because they are brilliant and brilliantly done. Hopefully I'll be getting a review for it up soon, but I can't promise anything. D: I've been having motivation issues lately.

-SAW THE SUN. For more than an hour! SERIOUSLY, I HAD NOT SEEN IT IN OVER A WEEK. It had been hella foggy here for over a week. I had no real idea how much I missed seeing blue sky.

-Went to the Autoshow Sunday! Saw the Bat Tumbler from the Dark Knight - which was kinda sorta one of my reasons for wanting to go, but not the whole reason because I also love shiny new cars, and a place like that has them in spades. (Like the oh-so fantastic lime green Ford Fiesta my Dad wants and I approve of.

Also saw an '09 yellow Camaro with black racing stripes and the Autobot chevron on its side and on the rims. SO AWESOME. Apparently that's a package now - only costs like, an extra thousand bucks. Ha. Won't be buying that kind of car anytime soon (especially as Camaros get fairly lousy gas mileage, and I like me some efficient cars), but Dad and I had a good chuckle about it.

- Came back to school/the apartment two days later than I wanted! But whatever. AND THEN IT SNOWED. Ugggghhhhh make it stop. I am so sick of this winter already. I JUST WANT IT TO WARM UP A LITTLE. What's sad is that it DID, enough to make a lot of the snow go away and my roads clear up (oh thank God, I can drive in the neighborhoods again without so much risk to my car), and now I'm not used to it being below freezing/gusting icy winds and it's miserable. D

In other news, I've been having a really hard time motivating myself to do anything so far this year (really all I want to do is watch movies/tv, seriously). It's especially bad when it comes to school - I just don't want to do anything for it. It's like I don't care, but I do care, just...not enough to do anything at the moment? IDK.
I don't know if my winter vacation just wasn't enough of a break for me (which wouldn't surprise me, given how insanely tense I was all break) or if it's just a kind of, sort of case of senioritis.

Either way, it's bad, and I am hoping I at least hit some kind of rhythm with school within the next few weeks. I'd like to NOT fail my second-to-last semester, kthx.
