Today was the end of an era.
Today, Atlantis touched down at the Kennedy Space Center safe and sound, marking the end of the shuttle fleet's role with NASA, in spaceflight, in our ongoing journey to the stars.
This is a stunning tribute to all 135 shuttle launches - including the Challenger and the Columbia.
I know I say it a lot and it's the title for this blog, but I think it bears repeating (because I did get it from a NASA memorial): Ad astra per aspera.
