So I moved into the dorms today. I got here fine (I drove!) and now I'm just unpacking. I have quite a bit less than I did last year, which impressed my parents. XP

Yay for the storm of your dreams ... and it sounds like the move back went well. The closet door thing... you know, some people just lose socks. You have to one-up the rest of us, don't you ...
I also don't understand why it would rob me of my closet doors, but not fix the broken tile in front of the door. Or why it would realign my bookshelves (which were about to come off the walls) but not reattach the strip along the floor.
...Or why it would spend money to add to the stadium AND give our football team a second indoor arena within which to practice, but not make sure there were enough dorm rooms for people to, you know, actually live in.
Colleges have such screwed up priorities anymore. My college spent more money on painting rakes and light posts purple and gold than they did on improvements in the dorms. It's annoying. And don't get me started on how sports teams get preferential treatment .... *grin*
What? Really? Man. Nothing at my school is really that uniform, and now I'm kind of grateful. XD At least they aren't pouring funds into making our light poles uniform.
But yeah, it's really obvious what matters most here, and it is most definitely the football team. Though rumor has it they're completely gutting my hall and renovating it...
...within the next few years. So, of course, I won't get to experience it. But whatev, I'll be in a nice apartment by then. Mebbe.
I really don't have a clue where I'm gonna end up in five years (or even two) but I do know it's going to be an interesting ride.
