I know I promised you guys a longer post. I have some coming, I swear.

For now, though, know this:

It is really hard to write a paper about the role of non-human characters in science fiction when your every decent train of thought is getting derailed by the Disney music playing in a loop in your brain.

...The two really aren't at all

the woes of an art student, halp, writing, failboat, !college, anwe's obsessions

*waves hello to new friend* and also :( on the paper. I suggest you solve the problem by blasting Star Wars!

*waves back*

I did! Now I have the theme stuck in my head.

There's just no winning for me tonight, apparently.

Ah. I...find that I have no solution for that. Well, good luck anyways?

Thanks~! This happens to me a lot, actually. Songs stick in my brain like it's made of glue or something. It'll go away eventually. XD Or be replaced by something else.

It could be worse. I could have Katy Perry in my head again. XD

Who *doesn't* that happen to, at some point? Especially with great music like Star Wars?

Well, yes, there is that. I could sing you some Katy Perry, or something... XD

This is true! And again it could be a lot worse. At least I get to feel like I'm in some kind of awesome epic right now?

Nooooooooooooo. XD I have avoided her like the plague ever since, if only because I really, really don't want to break into random bouts of "Teenage Dream" in class again. (Life is not like musicals. Just because one person starts to sing does not mean everyone else will.)

Yes, totally! You can just walk around and pretend to be a Jedi all day!

Aaargh, now that song is in my head! Did you really do one of those random break-out-into-song-in-the-middle-of-class things? Because that's pretty epic. XD

....I totally did just that. At the very least I got to use mind tricks on the printer to get it to work. X3

To be fair, most of the class was gone already and I didn't so much break into song as mutter the song lyrics a little more loudly than I should have, but I definitely got all the weird looks.

The only time I've ever been able to randomly break into song and have people join in has been around my friends. But they're all just like me, so it's no surprise.

...I think you just became the coolest person I've met online. XDD

Ah, well, I think it sounds like great fun, anyways. And at least you know you have the right friends, that they indulge in spur-of-the-moment sing-alongs!

X3 Why thank you~ I certainly try.

The hard part is finding songs everyone knows. My classes and I have had some pretty spectacular sing-alongs, just not random ones quite yet. (My ceramics class once reenacted the Harry Potter Puppet Pals for the better part of a day. My graphics classes and I have quoted films back and forth at each other.)

Harry Potter Puppet Pals! Yay! I love those vids (but then again, who doesn't?) XD

I'm inclined to think that graphics class sounds very fun. What exactly are you majoring in?

Graphic Design. Sort of. When I graduate I'll have a Bachelor's of Fine Arts, but the majority of my experience will be in graphic design.

I'm considering, however, going on to grad school to study concept art/video game development and/or animation. (Methinks I'd like to work for Disney or Pixar.)

Ah, that's so cool! I think I want to major in graphic design (either that, or English, or both) in college. It just seems like so much fun...

Disney or Pixar would be a pretty sweet job. :)
