(no subject)
So Rick and I had a bad week, and when I needed him most, he came through. I worked both friday night and saturday night from 5 until 1. I got home at 1 last night and I was exhausted... guess who drove 3.5 hours last minute to show up and surprise me when I got home from work? None other than Rick. It was critical that we see each other due to some hard times and he made it happen. He left early last night, got here, and could only stay til today at 12. So basically all the time we got together was from 1:30 last night until 12 today. Not even 12 hours together. But it made all the difference in the world. Thanks to his mom as well for helping out.
He made me a card and left it on my bed when he left and it said that there are 10 things left in my room in random places to remind me of him. How sweet. Haven't found them yet.
Yeah, Rick, you'll think it's cheesey that I'm posting it on here, but oh well.
First day of marching band was today. I'm so freakin excited. We have two electric violinists added this year. The marching band is over 340 people. Matt Williams (used to go see him play around town - he's a guy who plays at local clubs around here and is practically a prodigy on fiddle and violin and guitar and harmonica and everything)... we are going to be even more unbelievable than last year. I can't wait to start working on it. I'm on a dinner break from band camp right now, we have our first full band rehearsal tonight. I can't wait.
