(no subject)
Left school on Friday, got my disbursment check.. finally. Too bad it will all go to rent. I got to Mocksville to see Rick about 8... but I went on to the hospital in Winston instead. CJ was put in the hospital and Rick was spending all his time prying his eyes open in the hospital. We stayed at the hospital until 10 or so and then Rick and I headed back to Rick's. When I woke up in the morning around 8:45, I went to Rick's room only to find him calling people, and the first call I walked in on, he said "CJ passed away at 8:15 this morning"... so he and I got in the car and went to the hospital... stayed there for a while and then went back to Rick's.
I had only met CJ once, but from pictures and stories, I know he was a great guy. He meant a lot to Rick and to many others... and I know he'll always be remembered. I send my condolences to his family and Rick and the other guys. There's not a lot more to say, but my shoulder will always be available.
Last night I went to hang with Charlene... did much drinking... and swimming. Nothing like hanging out with the old crew - charlene, charlotte, don, andrew, doug, kevin, huggie, etc. - and others
Passed out at Charlene's - got home this morning at 8:30, cleaned out the car, and now... going to go to greensboro, then to my dad's for a pool party cookout thing and then who knows
tomorrow... going to rick's, then to the viewing, and then maybe something for the 4th afterwards and then tuesday to the funeral and then I will be back in the whee
