Odd dreams
So for a while now I have, on occasion, been having dreams where I'm making music. Usually I'm in a 5 man band of some sort and I'm usually playing keyboard. Another key point of these dreams is I can never recall exactly what I was playing, other than a haunting phantom melody that I can't reproduce and is gone by my first cup of coffee.
The other night was quite different. This time I was in an orchestra, playing a viola. We were practicing the nutcracker suite. First was the Russian dance, and that went off without a hitch. Then we moved on to the Arabian dance, this did not go as well. The bassoonist kept messing up. So it was tap tap tap with the baton and back to the beginning.
Now I have a desire to watch Disney's Fantasia.
