They still say they haven't received payment for my domain yet, which irks me. A check to CA does not take more than 2 days to go in the mail and they easily could've processed it by now. I really need to renew kauherdguild.com too, but I don't want to give them any more of my money until they tell me they've gotten the first payment. ~sigh~ I

In the fall, more towards the beginning of the year (obviously) this one school distric somewhere around us. Not close, it was out in cleveland somewhere, but downtown cleveland is only 10/15 minutes from my house. Anyway, they went on strike for like a month and a half. The kids were all upset (most of them, especially seniors) because they weren't learning anything via subs and they were getting tests and such and they didnt' know any of the stuff and all their grades were going down. I think, in the end, the teachers got some of what they wanted. Which is good. Teachers have hard jobs. And they're very valuable. I think some deserve more. (Cause, ya know. Once you get 40,000 a year for yourself and your spouse makes that or more.. you're pretty set... [maybe that comes from my family making only about 30 for 4 of us ..ohwell])
Oh! And I'm taking Anatomy/Phisiology (H) next semester (This was the original reason for the comment!). They had to disect a cat last week. Uhm. I didn't know there was that much disection or I wouldn't have signed up for it. I took it for the background. I think I have to take one of the two in college for Pharmacy, but I'm not sure. x.O; We had to disect a fetal pig in Bio 10th grade and I didn't do it. I just sat there and scrunched my nose and watched. I'm one of those girly girls who hates seeing gross stuff like that. Rawr?

And my teachers weren't striking, they were just trying to "make the legislation aware of their needs" according to some press release. I doubt they'll get what they want, since our state has no money. But wow, that story is scary... I hate subs, we don't have any good ones.
Aaand, our Anat class is a year long, so we do loads of dissections. I think we've spent over 8 hours on it already, and there's still fun stuff left like removing the intestines, unravelling them and finding out how long they are! Actually, just remember to tie back your hair and not to wear nice clothes. It doesn't smell that bad if you don't use fermaldehyde.

Yeah.. our state had no money either. .. Our district has even less. We had a levy this year which passed (wow, it only took 3 tries... the last possible try.. they waited to threaten cuts until the very end.. stupid district!). I don't think my teachers have ever striked. Or even thought about it. .. I don't know though!
Ooh, see ours is only a semester. There's one class each semester this year .. but I have it with some of my friends so I'm excited. Uhm. Your lovely description made me scrunch my nose. I hate stuff like that. That's why I didn't want to be a doctor. Bleh... I'm glad you like it though! You remind me of my sister. They had this SEAS (Something Extra After School) thing in Elementary School, and you could like stay and learn things.. (ie: French, tumbling, some science stuff.. ) My sister took one. And they disected stuff. And she used to get so excited o.O;;;
Disection is gross. Mmmkay. rofl.
