I've never really ever lost anyone close to me (knock on wood). My great grandparents were probably the closest people to me I lost...Well, last friday a girl I barely knew got in a car accident. Her car was T-boned somewhere off highway 79...She worked at McD's with me for just a few months. We never hung out outside of work. We only sometimes talked inside work...And I never really thought about her after she quit. I'd see her come in every now and then, and I'd say hi, but that was it...I didn't know about the accident until maybe Wed...She was in a coma and doctors were saying brain damage. Yesterday it was a week she was in a coma. They took her off life support. There was no way she was going to make it, and if she had then she would have never been the same...She was only 16 years old...
So this post goes out to Lacey. Wherever you are, may you be happier. I know we were never "friends" but your death has effected more people than you may think. I'm sorry you were only 16...but you were so wise and strong and beautiful. I'm sorry we never got to know eachother better...But the few moments we did share were great...Like writing all over Oscar's clean car and how bad we felt after, but it was still funny as hell...I miss you Lacey. We all will...
RIP Lacey Rodia....
