Good afternoon, Luceti! [There's a beat as she waves into the camera, before turning the view over to quite a large plate of cupcakes. They look rather normal, and all of them have little stars sprinkled on top of them. There's no telling what's actually inside of the things, however.]

[That is an awfully big box you have there, Minako! Even though she seems to be managing alright by herself, Claude decides to head over and see what's up anyway.]

Hey. Need any help?

action.

[arcanaxxii]

I'll be fine, don't worry! [...] Actually, I think I should've thought about taking a shorter box; I can't really see in front of me. [There's sheepish laughter from behind it, as she sets the box down to greet him properly.]

Hey to you too! You haven't eaten lunch yet, have you? [Not really thinking about the strange factor about asking that to a random stranger, she'll grin right up to him.]

That might have been a good idea. [But she seems pretty sure of herself, so he doesn't question it. Of course, Claude doesn't find her question that strange at all. She must have her reasons for asking, right? He laughs a little and shakes his head.] No, not yet. Why do you ask?

[arcanaxxii]

I rushed out of my house without thinking much about it - it seemed like a good idea at the time, you know? [She trails off for a bit, before remembering her previous question.]

Oh! I was actually bringing these-[she opens the box up to reveal her cupcakes; by now, she had separated them all into 'edible' and 'non-edible' categories, so Claude should be safe from possible stomach aches.]-to my friends, but I still have a bunch left over. You don't happen to like sweets, do you?

action.

[mirrorblade]

[He watches as she opens up the box, and his expression brightens up a little.]

Who doesn't like sweets? [And even if he didn't, he'd have a hard time saying no to a cute girl.] Are you trying to get rid of them, then?

action.

[arcanaxxii]

Aaah? That's good to hear! Looks like I ran into the right person then, huh? [Minako giggles, as she pulls out two of them. Handing him a vanilla one, she smiles a little bashfully.]

Yeah! Only one batch turned out well though, and that's the one this one's from... This guy over though, ended up being crunchy! So I guess it doesn't exactly qualify as one any more. [...] Honestly, I've been wanting to try it since my friends gave their verdict. A cookie cake! Maybe I can invent a new type of treat, or something.

action.

[mirrorblade]

Thanks. It smells really good! [He accepts the cupcake and looks it over. He doesn't try to eat it yet, though.] As long as it still tastes good, isn't that what counts?

[He's encouraging despite knowing that the others didn't turn out too well. He might even be willing to try one of these crunchy cupcakes himself.]

[arcanaxxii]

You really think so? [At that, Minako will take a bite out of the cupcake herself. ...and winces. It doesn't take all too long before she bursts out into laughter.]

I guess...! But when they said crunchy, I didn't expect it to be to this extent. [She holds it up to to him still trying to contain her laughter. It was practically a cookie, just in cupcake form.] If anything, it'd be better defined as a cupcake-shaped cookie.

[mirrorblade]

[And while Minako tries her cupcake, Claude will try his own. He's ready to give his verdict when she laughs and, well, he can't help but laugh, too. The cupcake doesn't look very cake-like.]

How did you even manage that? Did you put cookie dough in the batter or something?

action.

[arcanaxxii]

I, I did! I wasn't sure how to get the cookie flavour into a cupcake, so I combined their recipes. It sounded like a good idea at the time, really! [poooout.] Well, that's a no-go. How did yours taste?

action.

[mirrorblade]

I think it was a good try. [It was an interesting idea, at least. Who wouldn't want a cupcake that tasted like that? He smiles at her.] But this one's really good! It's like the perfect cupcake.

action.

[arcanaxxii]

You aren't just saying that, are you? [Suddenly, personal space. What is it.] You're the first person today to have said that! [despite saying this, she's positively beaming. ;;]

[mirrorblade]

Really? I think it's great! It's the best cupcake I've tasted in Luceti.

action.

[arcanaxxii]

[For a moment, she's absolutely taken aback; though it doesn't take too long for her to recover and to grab both of Claude's hands into hers.]

I, I'm so glad! Thank you so much! [...and then she backs off with a sheepish laugh.] What might your name be?

action.

[mirrorblade]

[The gesture surprises him, but Claude doesn't mind. He smiles right through it.]

My name's Claude. Claude C. Kenny. And you are?

I'm Minako! Minako Arisato! [Fist pump!] It's been nice meeting you.
