McGill!
So I've been at McGill for a week! Finally I have a couple of hours to myself this week (while the "others" are out watching Hero) to update this LJ.
It was so overwhelming the first day of moving in! I was definitely homesick on the first night, cuz it felt like I was sleeping in a hotel and that I was only staying for a couple of weeks.
My room in the ex-hotel is huge! I feel so undeserving of such luxury... I moved the bed to a corner and now I have lots of floorspace for parties. Right. There are 50 people on my floor *alone*. Yeah it's huge... the classy lobby is almost always crowded. I see lots of rich ditzes but what can you expect. I met some of the people on my floor who are cool. But so far I'm hanging out with the Lisgar crew. It's like a sleepover ever night! :D
Frosh had it's fun moments like whitewater rafting, La Ronde amusement park, and getting free food in the pouring rain. But it also involved not being able to go to the clubs at night as Sophie, Nicole, Stef, Stern and I were all underage. The frosh seemed to revolve a lot of booze and "let's get drunk! raah" which I found so overrated. I also had my first shots of vodka, which tasted much better than the gross beer they were serving.
Montreal is AWESOME. Everything's outside my door and the buildings are old-world charm. I can shop without even going outside because the New Rez is connected underground to a little shopping place. Dollarama is now my god.
I can't wait for all you Ontario people to start school! You MUST tell me all your tales of frosh excitement.
