OhayoCon is coming up. Like, -really- coming up. Two weeks as of... what was it, last Friday? So, one week come THIS Friday. Yeah. You get the hint.
Okay. To be honest, I've been kind of... unhappy over this whole thing. e e; Shh, don't tell. Meanwhile, my sister's looking over my shoulder... But anyway. Yeah, at first I was unhappy. As we all know, Carol can't sew worth crap(except the fabric of head protectors--like that's a big deal), so she has to have friends make these things for her. Why, exactly, is she cosplaying Itachi, in that case? ... Well, fortunately, her boyfriend's friend(and a friend of her's, too) took on the task for a small fee of making the cloaks. Whoo.
But don't worry, I didn't -not- do anything for this cosplay. *Cough.* I took care of buying the head protectors, annnnd... I made the hats~! Well, the little dangly thingies on the hats, anyway. Which I am SO proud of. Painting those things was a bitch, but, nyaaaah, they're supposed to be red. And red they are. Some of the beads aren't completely accurate in shape or length, but it's the general idea, damnit. As for the little bells? They're on there. They just... don't jingle very well. I think it's because of the string, and probably adding to it the beads pressed against both ends of them. And, my sister and I are doing Brandon's Kisame wig for him.
Brandon's working hard on the Kubikiri Houchou, and the Samehada. I know they aren't going to be perfect, nor are they going to look like Katie and Philip's Samehada, but.. that's fine. He's giving it his all, so no matter what the two swords turn out like, we'll be happy.
I just hope I don't fsck up his makeup. We've got the makeup, I just have to get the last touches I need(eyeliner pencils and makeup sponges) for my own cosplay and for some of his too; like around the eyes.
The only bummer is, I won't have Sharingan contacts for this convention. Too much money, not enough time, since I've never worn contacts before. We'll make due. If I'd thought about it sooner, I could have at least gotten some contacts to turn my eyes red, but, once again, these are my first contacts. Oh well. Next time. Another bummer, the sandals may not arrive in time. Keep your fingers crossed.
I'll be bringing Doll back, too, on Friday. At some point, even though I haven't fixed it up yet, I'll be wearing Haku; or rather, Dead Haku. Not going to bother putting up my hair, or anything like that. But I'll have wings at least. Ha, ha. For Brandon's Zabuza/Mizukage Zabuza. Hooray.
But, I'm being rushed out. Mom, sister and I are going for a ride, which is fun. Ciao, lovelies.
