sunshine on my window makes me happy like i should be
Yesterday was ridic. After not being able to start my car (again) to get it to Charlotte, Chapin let me use his AAA tow service. I waited for 2 1/2 hours for the truck to get there, deciding that I didn't have to go with it to Charlotte since my dad was going to keep it there for longer to make sure everything's alright. I woke up with a head cold yesterday so I spent the rest of the recuperating. Today I got up earlier than normal because the weather was too beautiful to resist. Yesterday James Gary called me to tell me that the Nth gallery is putting on a benefit fundraiser for the Boone Saloon employees (the bar had a pretty bad fire last week and will be closed for a while). He asked if I would put in a piece or two for the show. Honestly I'm really excited about this, no one has ever asked me to put my stuff in a show before. I think one of the pieces is already sold, actually. I'm going there tonight to see it all up. I brought James the works earlier and chatted, then went to Espresso and got some coffee and read some Runaways. Chapin called and I met him for lunch at Mellow Mushroom so we could sit outside for a while. I got a bit burned but it was soooo nice to be outside in the sunshine.
Also, Wednesday we went to Asheville to see Kate Nash who was faaaaantastic. Sadly the late nights all week took a toll on my body which got me the cold.
