so last night after a heated discussion in the restaurant i am curious to know what people think!!!
Are you actually afraid of terrorists? Do you think you or someone you know could be a victim of a terrorist attack in the near future?
or
Are other safety concerns more important? Are you afraid of being mugged? raped? or a victim of another crime? Are you worried that state, local and federal government will not be able to protect you from natural disasters?
Personally I believe that terrorism is a red herring. I don't believe that it is anywhere near the threat that the government makes it to be. Violent crime in and around my city is far more pressing and is actually a real danger. I have never ever been anywhere in the United States where I genuinely felt afraid of terrorists hurting me. However, I have been in many areas of Citys around America where I felt as if something bad could happen.
