Cocktail Party Chaos
Oakland resident, Willow Arborvitae, blames politics for causing her to inadvertently invite guests to one party, but all with different themes. "It was an accident!" exclaims Ms. Arborvitae. "While Bush was in office, I thought a pirate theme would be appropriate. But, then I thought, military occupation of Iraq would be the perfect way to celebrate Bush leaving office!"
Ms. Arborvitae paused, shaking her head. "But, then we had the inauguration, and I thought I should have a more relaxed, fun party. So, I invited people to come as hippies and ravers! I guess I just kept changing the theme and forgetting to tell people!"
The end result was that partygoers arrived at Ms. Arborvitae's apartment, all wearing different costumes. Out of all the guests questioned, none belive Ms. Arborvitae's story.
