At the recent SM Entertainment board meeting:
"Well, we've released another great SNSD single in Japan. The fans are loving Paparazzi, even the ones who normally complain."
"Yeah, but they're starting to think that we only put effort into finding good music for their Japanese releases. The Korean home fanbase is starting to get angry about preferential treatment."
"Well, we can't have that. Next thing you know, they'll be wanting a stance on those stupid rocks in the ocean."
"We definitely can't have that. Quick, how can we trick them into thinking we aren't grubbing for Japanese money?"
"Remake one of their Korean singles, stat!"
"Genius! It gets the Korean home fanbase off of our backs, and we save time and money on them learning the melody and dance! And they won't even complain, because they've been begging for remakes!"
