Getting funky in loliland
Following in TGS's footsteps, Momoiro Clover Z's newest single "Roudou Sanka" is also a funky piece complete with a brass, jazz organ, a rhythmic bass part, and prominent syncopation in the percussion.
The production and the vocals are nowhere as nice as TGS's, but the brass all over the place, the short parts of harmony, and the cracktastic PV more than make up for it. Where you watch TGS and admire their performance, you get up on stage and dork out right along with MomoClo.
The composition of Liar is much tighter than Roudou's, but the cheap tricks Roudou's melody employs just makes it all the more fun.
