Not as good as Limited Addiction, but only in that the verse isn't as striking. That chorus makes up for everything. The arrangement doesn't also have as immediately memorable a hook, but in terms of complexity it's just as if not more complex than Himawari's, so I still love this song a whole freaking lot. The chorus is so good I don't even mind that this is the third time TGS has done this funky sound, which decreases the chance that the next single will be as good, but it speaks to how much I love this Himawari/LA/Liar trifecta that I'm still hoping that they continue this trend.
For some reason, I feel like Liar has a drive to it where LA was more chill and Himawari was just joyful. This probably comes from the furious rhythm section getting the emphasis where in Himawari brass and (poppin' fuck yeah!)bass is the focus and LA is just slower and more chill. Fits well with the darker palate of the PV. Makes the falsetto notes in the chorus ever more haunting.
Hot damn, another super long interlude with a groovy guitar solo! Can't wait to hear the full version.
Lol, I'm starting to memorize faces but I still have no idea what any of their names are. There's the Gong Hyojin-alike big voice singer, the other main singer, the one who looks like the GHJ-alike but prettier and does the high pitched runs in Himawari, Miss Dimples+Snaggletooth Super-Loli, and the girl who got the weirdest scenario in Limited Addiction. XD You are so lucky you got that scene, gurl, you almost ended up as "Miss Process of Elimination", or "Miss None-of-the-above". And against Miss DimpleSnaggletooth Super Loli, you are so fucked as the other non-singing member. You are Miori in this SweetS 2.0. Then again, Miori's the most famous of SweetS now thanks to her acting career. Hrm. How's your acting, Miss LA-WTF-scene? :3
