Epoch 142 -- What Happened to Separation of Church and State?

Another day, another reason to question my faith in humanity. Let me be clear, I have no problem with religious freedom in so far as that freedom encompasses the right to worship when and where appropriate. What I take issue with is religious freedom as an unapologetic justification for discrimination and oppression. If you are a religious person I will respect and tolerate your right to your beliefs and your right to worship, but if those beliefs are predicated on the suppression of anyone else's rights or beliefs I'm not going to stand for it because I have no patience for anyone forcing their beliefs on anyone else or using religion as an excuse to spread and promote hate.
