Moving!!
I haven't updated in forever and quite a lot has been going on. I avoiding updating for so long because everytime I started writing a post the fact that I'm moving to Chicago would be written down, and it would make actually leaving everyone I know seem far to concrete so I'd freak out and stop writing. So in the time I've been trying to see everyone and not posting to avoid freaking out I ran the San Diego RnR marathon, graduated from UCSD, partied up in LA, partied down in SD, partied out in the desert, and made it out to Caladan VIII!
The marathon was exciting, but I didn't get the time I was hoping for. I had to take a pee break at mile 17, and the break did not treat me well. I had trouble starting back up again, cramped up for a bit, and basically killed my time. I was able to start slowly joggin again at around mile 22 and walked/jogged my way to the finish. 5 hours 49 minutes! Ugh .... if the Chicago marathon wasn't already full I'd love to run it. It'd be great to actually make my goal of sub 4:30, and it'd be a fun way to get to know my new city. Oh well ... there's always next year.
Caladan was also unbelievable!!! I went up with a bunch of kids from SD who'd never been out to a party before. They loved it! I loved being able to see everyone from LA before I move. I saw a bunch of people the week before for Morgen/Steph's going away party as well. So many people I know are moving this year! So much change ... it's exciting but still extremely frightening.
My flight to Chicago is August 19th, my first day of class is August 21st, and I still have so much to do before I leave! I promised myself I'd update more regularly once I got to law school, so I'm glad I was finally able to get this "getting caught up post" out of the way.
