San Diego Rock & Roll - Team in Training
June 4th, 2006 - San Diego, California. The San Diego Rock 'N' Roll Marathon
I had wanted to run this marathon last year, but got some pretty severe shin splits about a week before the race, so I couldn't do it. I figured since I'm still in San Diego till August, I might as well give it another go. I'm training for the marathon through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT).
Part of the TNT program is to fundraise for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each donation collected helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and brings hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases.
I'm asking everyone I know to help support me in this endeavor, and help find a cure for all those suffering from blood cancers. You can make a donation by visiting my fundraising page.
I will be keeping my training logs on LJ, so expect some more run filled updates soon.
