Nice little article about radio
Confessions of a Listener is a nice article written by Garrison Keillor about the current state and the future of radio.
"After the iPod takes half the radio audience and satellite radio subtracts half of the remainder and internet radio gets a third of the rest and Clear Channel has to start cutting its losses and selling off frequencies, good-neighbor radio will come back. People do enjoy being spoken to by other people who are alive and who live within a few miles of you."
It's a good read, and I'd recommend you check it out. I really enjoy Garrison Keillor, and listen to Prarie Home Companion regularly. I've also read quite a few of this books. My favorite thing about reading Keillor is I can almost here him reading everything he wrote in his signature prarie home voice. The man rocks.
