Yay! Things get back to normal! I can tell all of you are just trembling with excitement. :-) And so we return to our TV meme. We're doing three today. Because this is my LJ and I want to. ;-)
Day 14 - Favorite male character
Hmmm. See, this is really hard. There are just way too many. Are there really people out there who have ONE favorite male character on TV? *sigh* I'll just have to pick one of my favorites. And for that...we shall delve into the past. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
Ares. Because Kevin Smith was an amazing, incredible actor who also happened to be gorgeous. And I cringe every time someone says the name Kevin Smith and they're talking about the director/writer/actor whose fame remains a mystery to me. I know who the TRULY talented Kevin Smith was. And Ares was a great character. He was a bad guy, of course. But there was so much more beyond that. I loved that both shows, particularly Xena, explored that. This video pretty much just shows the bad. But....*sigh* I don't mind.

Day 15 - Favorite female character
Hey, let's do a theme!! *changes icon for post* We'll stick with the Xena/Hercules thing. But I'm going the route of 'supporting' actors/actresses. And so, I give you.....Callisto.
Known affectionately as 'Psycho Babe' in my family, that just pretty much describes Callisto to perfection. Plus, Hudson Leick sends shivers up my spine every time she does her battle cry. Girl can scream. Please don't ask me why that's important. It's a thing that started when I was a little kid watching 'King Kong'. From then on, every actress I ever heard scream got compared to Fay Wray.

Day 16 - Your guilty pleasure show
I guess I'll say Xena and Hercules. Although I resent the fact that both would be considered 'guilty pleasures'. Campy? Yes. But the main actors (Lucy Lawless, Michael Hurst, Kevin Sorbo, Renee O'Connor) and the frequent guests (Kevin Smith, Hudson Leick, Bruce Campbell, Gina Torres, Alexandra Tydings) had talent in spades. The fight scenes were fun to watch. I almost always enjoyed the fun 'real life' episodes they did and the straight out comedy. Plus...screwing with Greek mythology? Always fun.
