The only thing I can figure is it's another one of those geek hierarchy thing. You know the "We may be nerds, but we're not like those people" thing I just want to take their smug superiority and shove it up their... well you get my point. The only warning Kon got was the sound of pattering feet. He turned just in time to catch the tiny form that leaped into his arms.

They both laughed as Kon caught her up and pulled her close.
