You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you *should* already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

1. First Name: Rachel, but very few people call me that now. I'm Rae to ALMOST everyone!
2. Age: 21, I'll be 22 on September 10th. :)
3. Location: Winnipeg, MB, Canada
4. Occupation: Unemployed right now. I'm here on a student visa (from England originally) so I can't work right now.
5. Partner? My boyfriend of several years, Jer. :) AKA Jerbob, Jerbear, Shithead...
6. Kids: None...hopefully one day...
7. Brothers/Sisters: One real brother, David. He's just turned 19 and is currently in America working as a Summer Camp aid. David's a pain in the butt at times but he's a pretty good kid when he wants to be. Then there's Steve (who is turning 38 sometime soon) and he has two kids, Carla and Abbie, who are adorable. Then Sally who turned 40 last year and she's been having IVF but unfortunately has not conceived and is now having to look into other options. Then from my Dad's third marriage there's Mathew and Nicola. Mathew is bloody smart and is married to Rebecca, who is an absolute sweetheart. Nicola on the other hand is a TOTAL bitch. She has one son, Connor, who she doesn't deserve (I should never say that but it's true). She's dating some scumbag called Lee who has basically been seeing her, two other girls and is MARRIED with three kids. Yeah, nice bloke.
8. Pets: Luna, our Black and White Short-hair domestic cat...well, she's SUPPOSED to be a cat...we just think she's an idiot that meows. :P
9. List the 3-5 biggest things going on in your life:
1) I'm living approximately 3000 miles from my fmaily and friends.
2) I'm trying to get a job, planning on starting after my holiday in August.
3) My Mom's getting married to the sweetest guy in the world in August... :)
10. Schools: University of Winnipeg. It's how come I'm in the country.
11) Parents: Mom (Lyn) is fantastic, currently planning her wedding to my soon to be step-dad Andy. Andy is the same age as my older sister (they were at school together) and met my Mom AGAIN at Sally's wedding in 2003. They've been together pretty much ever since. Dad (Mick) is half-Irish and is NOT so great. He's currently married to his third wife Celia (my Mom was the 2nd) who has been married before and is the mother of Mathew and Nicola. Dad and I really don't get on. He's abusive and manipulative and just a generally not nice person. From the age of eleven and a half, when my parents split up, I lived with just Mom and David (and Andy when he came along) but spent weekends with Dad. After I turned 18 I pretty much stopped seeing Dad unless I HAD to.
12) Who are some of your closest friends? Close as in distance? There aren't any. I haven't really made any friends since being in Canada so all my friends are still in England. Unless you count Jer who is my BEST friend. Then in England my best friends are Maggie and Sophie who are (pretty much) made of awesome. But I haven't seen Sophie in over a year and I haven't seen Maggie in about 11 months...
