...it's just some really cool science.

A professor up in Michigan has been using nanolithography to create miniscule portraits of our new President. He's growing carbon nanotubes in arrays that have been patterned off of pictures of President Obama. The "portraits" are about 500 micrometers, which is about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. Crazy, eh?

The website is nanobama.com, and their (I promise it's brief and mostly non-technical) explanation of the technique is here, and it's actually pretty cool to read how they did it.
