Summary: Clark accidentally finds a way to get Bruce to smile instead of the sullen or glare look he gives to others. It [would] be a big accomplishment if he manage[s] to do it[,] not that it matter[s] --what-- as long he sees the smile not realizing it may take his breath away.
Rather bored with nothing to do and the rest of the team gone out --expect-- [except] for himself and Batman or known to very few[,] Bruce Wayne[,] sit[s] in the living room. Clark glance[s] over at the other man finding him read[ing] --the-- [a] book with that usual sullen look instead of the glare for once. ‘Can he give any other expression?’ The man muse[s] finding the dark knight rather interesting at times even if they don’t spend much time alone [together] and when do they do[,] very little things [happen] --together--.
“So Bruce[,] do you want to do anything?” Clark asks hoping it would be [a] yes to watch a movie instead of being in the quiet room with high tension.
“No[,] I’m good reading my book,” --The-- [the] man replies changing the page holding back a smirk hearing the annoyed sigh from the other.
‘Great[,] there goes that part which most likely mean[s] nothing will work,’ the hero thought --having-- [bearing] a scowl upon his face thinking carefully. He gets off the couch grabbing some things from the kitchen [and] accidentally spilling some water --making-- [causing] him [to] trip.
“Ouch,” --He-- [he] snarls only [to look] --looking-- up hearing a soft --chuckle-- [chuckling] sound which has him --have-- [having] trouble breathing.
What he sees next makes the trip worth it. His heart races faster in his chest unable to think of nothing more but that laugh that seems to brighten the room but not [un]like --that-- [the] smile upon the man’s lips. Bruce must have notice[d] his staring since he raise[s] a cool brow.
“Yes?” He asks sharply snapping Clark out of his trance.
“You should smile more often,” Clark breathes trying to calm his racing heart getting the other to think thoughtfully.
“Maybe I will,” Bruce replies shrugging going back to his book not seeing the hint of blush upon Clark’s cheeks at the thought of seeing that beautiful smile.
