After the graveyard incident, Mufasa makes the decision that may affect not only the life of the pride but also his own son-Banish as a rouge that may live in the pridelands until he can survive on his own and prove he can be a future king. Simba not only has to learn things earlier then most his age but keep out of trouble not to anger his father. Not able to sleep at priderock or have his mother isn't something Simba is use to which also makes him see Mufasa in another light. To add more salt to the injury Mufasa picks a new heir to take over the throne which gets Simba to protest. Due to this he's now kicked out of the pridelands with some of his friends and few other cubs from the pride which in the way forms a new pride. Simba having no choice takes up a name that shocks most of the older generation especially his father and uncle Scar.
