Oh oh oh, I should've read this first... BUT! It still makes sense.
It's sad how a huge part of leaving is Sho's decision. Somehow, I want him to find a reason to stay. Not just because he doesn't want to hurt Jun, but because he knows he'll be happier in that small town. Inevitably, people will get hurt anyway. Or not. Ideas. Mmmmmm, ideas. Ohno's calmness is such an amazing thing both here and in reality. It brings you down and makes you see the things you ignore and refuse to see. I really like that it was him who pointed out that Sho was just delaying the heart-wrenching parting. Ahhhhh. Boys. ♥
Sorry! I posted them pretty close together, so I'm guessing most people ended up reading the second one first. I think the whole idea of leaving vs. staying is going to be a huge turning point in this AU. I'm glad you're still enyoying it! ♥
You know what I really love about this? Aside from Ohno being his wise, spacey little self? It really sort of echoes Sho's behavior at the time before he left home. He's always at his car, looking at it, doing things with it, but he can't make himself get in and drive away.
And I am such a sucker for the yama pair, I love how Ohno understands Sho and is so gentle about it (when Sho needs it--otherwise he uses him to sink his boat). I love that you brought in Chinen. ♥ And Nino maybe thinks Chinen is cute but can't say it. ♥♥
I think my favorite line is the 'People get left behind sometimes' line. I love YOU.
♥ I love Yama Pair. I think I feel like I can really bring Ohno in as someone who can be blunt without being mean about things. I think he's really the most straightforward about the issue of what comes next without being dramatic about it.

omg just this:
He pressed it into Sho's hands, wrapping his fingers around it. "You're all set," he says.
There is so much potential and amazingness in that line I could cry.
Now we have to get off our asses and decide something
