Aiba fidgeted impatiently in his seat, staring at Ohno’s sleeping face.
The members of Arashi decided to visit Ohno whenever they could. Since Arashi was very busy, and even busier now that Ohno was in the hospitable, they decided to take shifts. So far, Ohno has not woken up today, and it was already the second shift, Aiba’s.
2:47
Aiba frowned at the clock. Two minutes? But it felt like hours to him. Perhaps the clock was broken.
Ohno’s still form shifted a little. Aiba glanced hopefully at Ohno, hoping he would wake up.
“….Fiiiiish.” Ohno mumbled in his sleep.
Aiba’s shoulders slumped. He was only dreaming of fishing again. If Aiba got a dollar every time Ohno said the word fish in his sleep, Aiba would be a very rich man.
Aiba took his gaze off Ohno and instead, started to count the number of presents visitors had left at his bedside.
Many visitors had come and left Ohno quite a large number of “get well” gifts.
For example, the groups within Johnny’s entertainment, like NewS, Hey! Say! Jump!, KanJani8, Kat-Tun, and many others came. Even Johnny-san himself went to visit Ohno. One of the most upset visitors was Chinen Yuri. Most likely because he highly admired his senpai, Ohno-kun. But the most devastated one was actually Nakai Masahiro. You wouldn’t think that he would act this way since he always fights with Ohno on Utaban.
At first, he came into the room and set down his gifts in the piles next to Ohno. He then joked around about Ohno getting what he deserved for always picking fights with him. He suddenly broke down and started to shout, “I’m sorry!” along with a lot of others things that mostly could only be made out as gibberish. Jun, who was the one who had the first shift, stared at Nakai uncomfortably, not knowing what to do. Finally, the nurses had to kick him out of the hospitable because he was disturbing al the other guests and recipients at the hospitable.
Aiba decided the pile of presents was too much to count and looked at the clock again.
2:50
Why does time always pass by slowly when you’re bored and quickly when you’re having fun? Why can’t it be the other way around?
Aiba rested his head and the bed and stared glumly at Ohno’s still sleeping figure.
“Why won’t you just wake up already?”
“Fiiiish.” Ohno mumbled again.
“Aright, I get it, fish.”
“Fiiiiiiiiiiish.”
Aiba sighed. He was probably going to listen to Ohno repeat the word fish nonstop in his sleep until he finally dies of boredom before Nino even gets here, two hours from now.
Aiba closed his eyes and decided to take a little nap.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“-chan? Aiba-chan?” A gentle hand was shaking Aiba’s shoulder.
Aiba groaned.
“Wah?” Aiba moaned sleepily.
Aiba sat up and yawned.
“Had a nice nap, Aiba-chan?”
Aiba blinked a few times.
“Ohno? Ah! You’re awake! Eh? What’s wrong with your arm? It’s all wet…”
“Oh, you were using my arm as a pillow so you drooled all over it.”
“Huh? Oh, sorry, Riida.” Aiba blushed and tried to wipe the drool off Ohno’s arm.
“It’s okay, Aiba-chan. You’ve got drool all over your face too.”
Ohno carefully wiped off the drool from Aiba’s face, making him blush even more.
“Where did all this come from?” Ohno pointed to the towering pile of presents.
“Um, people came to visit you and left them for you. Get well present, you know.” Aiba replied.
“I’m making a lot of people worried about me, aren’t I?”
Aiba noticed Ohno’s change of tone in his voice.
“Ohno-kun? Are you okay? Is there something wrong?”
“…Aiba-chan? Can I tell you something?”
“Of course, I’m always here for you.”
Aiba squeezed Ohno’s hand, trying to look Ohno in the eye, but Ohno kept his head down with his hair slightly covering his face.
“Aiba-chan…I’m scared…”
Aiba gripped Ohno’s hand tighter. Scared? Ohno barely gets scared of anything.
“I feel…I have this feeling like people are going to get hurt. They’re going to hurt very badly. And…it’s my fault. I’m going to hurt people, Aiba-chan. I don’t know what to do.”
Ohno sounded like he was going to cry. Ohno and crying. Those two things are just not meant to be used together in a sentence like that.
“Ohno! No! You won’t hurt people! You won’t!” Aiba said loudly.
“But…this feeling…it won’t go away. It keeps on getting worse. And…I keep on getting these strange nightmares. I can’t sleep, Aiba-chan. I’m too scared. I hear people crying and screaming my name in my dreams. What should I do, Aiba-chan? I don’t know anymore…”
“Bu-but you were sleeping at first. You kept on saying fish!”
“Yes, but I was just pretending. It hurts too much to see people. Because I know somehow I’m going to end up hurting them more. I just can’t bare to see them. It hurts so much more. My nightmares get worse too.”
Aiba sensed that his friend was really upset, but he didn’t know what to do. Somehow, he ended up crying.
“Aiba-chan? Please Aiba-chan, don’t cry. I don’t want to hurt you. I hurt so many people. Please, please?”
By now, Nino had arrived.
He glanced from Aiba to Ohno.
“What happened?” Nino asked cautiously, as if daring himself to find out.
“Aiba-chan… Nino-chan! I made Aiba-chan cry. Why am I hurting everyone I care about?” Ohno stared helplessly at Nino.
It was the first time Nino had seen so much fear and sadness in Ohno’s eyes.
Nino stared numbly back at Ohno.
“Why?! Why is this happening?” Ohno buried his hands in his face.
“I…Aiba, let’s leave Ohno alone for a while.”
Aiba and Nino left Ohno by himself.
“Nino, I’m really worried about Ohno.” Aiba whimpered. “He says he’s having horrible nightmares…He…He thinks he’s going to hurt people. I can’t stand to see him like this. What do we do?”
Nino listened intently and sighed. “So that’s the situation? There’s only one thing we can do. We wait and sees what happens.”
“But what if he’s right? What if there’s something we can do to help him, but hurting him by not doing anything?”
“We don’t know what’s wrong with him though. It’s best not to mention this to anyone else for now, Aiba-chan. Let’s not make them worry about Ohno too. We’ll just have to keep an eye on Ohno ourselves.”
“That’s what he said too.” Aiba mumbled. “He said he was making people worry about him.”
Oh, I’m so HAPPY FOR AIBA! XD
I’m slow, I know BUT HE’S GOING TO FINALLY GET HIS OWN DRAMA! How can you not be happy for him?
If you had not listened to Arashi’s new song, 5X10, you must listen to it, NOW O___O. Okay, you probably already knew that too. XD
Why am I so slow, lol?
The song is just amazing. It’s like I can feel their feelings rushing right at me.
There has never been a band that me feel so many mixtures of feelings before. In the good way too ;_;
Now I hate them for making me love them so much. =.=
I swear, one of these days, I’m going to die by bursting into a million happy faces and confetti, like a giant happy bomb.
Arashi makes my life livable. :3 Especially with all the people I have to deal with. Haha XD But we all have our own worries, right? Arashi will forever be my happiness~
(I just wish there was a never aging potion so they will remain young forever XD)
Lol, ignore my weird AN it's full of my weird life rambles. XD
