fwee hyde concert rundown :D
so... I left AX around 4-ish to meet with Molly and her brothers girlfriend ________(i am sooo sorry i'm bad with names... i'll edit this once molly tells me the names of the people i met at dinner :D...because i'm lame -_-;). They took a tram to the convention center from downtown disney, and got to the center around 4:30 (which is when we were supposed to BE at HOB for dinner XD) well... anyways, i think ____ bribed a Disney Bus driver to drop us off somewhere sort of close to DownTown Disney, and we got to HOB by about 5pm. went in, and sat down and i met the rest of the group Autumn, Jennifer, Isabel (molly's sis), and ______. I had a 7 dollar salad... that... was..rather small -_-; (i had a donut and a little bit of juice for breakfast, so i was sort of hungry by then -_-; and... it was TINY...and cost me 13 dollars ~_~)
anyways, for the 6 of us the bill was just under $150 (yeesh... and at tony roma's there were 12 of us and that was just over $160 O_O dude are cocktails expensive X_x)
so... we ate, and paid, and then went and sat in the pass line... i saw amy :D she was just a few people in front of me ^-^; but...we didn't talk all that much >.<;
so... in line... we talked some, and er...there was a plane that was skywriting... it wrote the name of some tv show -_-; boooring XD lessee... there were sooo many goth loli people in line, and there were even some AWESOME looking VK guys... their costumes were great ^-^; i wish i had had my camera with me...but i put it in the car so they wouldn't confiscate it -_-;
sooo... finally we got inside the building, and ... we got like...the most awesome space ever ^-^ stage left, right in front of the stairs, and closer than the very front row of people that was behind the barrier ^-^ from where we were, we were inches from being able to touch the stage (if i had been just a foot closer, when hyde, or kaz, or the bassist came and gave some attention to our side, i swear if i had reached out i would have been able to touch them....::dies::):D...the only downside was that... it was like a foot away from the speakers... *rubs poor abused ears* i got pushed around a lot during the concert, because even though i was just outside the pit, when people pushed forwards... people got pushed sideways and the domino effect caused some of them to be pushed out of the pit. anyways... i was basically surounded by japanese people XD including 3 guys (who... looked like siblings, and... one of which had a hydeist t-shirt) and a goth lolita girl that i was standing in back of (wow... those goth loli's sure know how to rock it XD) hmmm...there was also a really really short woman that stood next to me...that i was trying soooo hard not to squish when the crowd pushed because...well... she (or anyone for that matter) would have gone ::splat:: into the wall...which... i think i did actually get pushed into her a couple of times ^-^;
so... first came the opening act... and they were actually pretty good ^_^ they were called "The Black List Club" i think it was, they were enjoyable :D and...at one point, when the vocalist asked if we were ready to see hyde, a majour surge forward happened in the pit and...the people in front of me got totally squished (the goth loli girl got pushed right INTO the security guard...several times during the show in fact -_-) when The Black List Club said that they had two more songs and people started to cheer, the vocalist (jokingly) said "what? is that a yay because you don't want us to play anymore? or because we have two more songs left?" XD which...was funny
so...after the opening band was done, we waited for hyde to come out and the audience was screaming "haido! haido! haido! haido!" finally he came out with KAZ (the guitarist) and the bassist (who had hair like Cloud from FFVII XD) and he started playing...er...here's the setlist stolen from

hmmm...what can i add to this eh? ah, after i think...the second song, he asked if it was ok that the next songs would be in japanese...hyd'es engrish is like...totally adorabibble...and...for the most part understandable ^^
i heard that 5+ people fainted at the concert...which would explain why they started handing out water to the crowd ^^.
I also hear that there were some really really rude Japanese fans at the concert -_-; and now... i know why the really really large security guard (who reminded me of konishiki...but not nearly as massive XD) was standing in the very center of the barrier thing at one point in the concert. -_-;
the ones in front of me weren't too bad, the goth loli girl seemed pretty nice, even when Molly's sister Isabel was asking her about her cute socks (which... she didn't understand till Molly translated the question into japanese ^^) and the guys were...meh just sort of there rocking out XD though... one of them pushed in because he came in last out of their group, and the really really tall girl next to me sort of got angry...and... at one point when he got pushed up on top of the stairs, she spent like 5 minutes trying to push him back down into the pit but...meh... i didn't have any problems this time around... and i missed most of the pushing, though... the people in front of y didnt' fare quite as well...
the venue was soooo hot i was totally soaked from head to foot >.<; and the japanese guys in front of me... had LONG SLEEVES ON X_____X ugh... i could totally not imagine how horrible that would have been X_x; and... hyde's band was like...totally SOAKED by the end of the concert... KAZ had sweat dripping from his long bang tuft thing XD and...when they were rocking otu...there was sweat flying from both him and the bassist...but...somehow...hyde...looked...awesome...and...DRY (well... not DRY...but definitely not as soaked as they were ^-^; he didn't have sweat dripping off of him... i wonder how he managed that O_O)
I think that the best part of the concert was that ...at one point where hyde was running around the stage, he disappeared from view (well...from where i was, i could only see the right side of the stage, i couldnt' see the drummer but...meh XD) and... all of a sudden he reappeared right in our corner... sooo very close...and he was staring RIGHT at our side of the room ::melts:: that was just awesome...@_@ definitely the highlight of the concert (for me anyways XD course...the whole concert was ::drool:: worthy ) i knew hyde was really small and energetic...but i never realized just HOW small and energetic he is ^-^; he's like a prettier version of kyo...without the crazy screaming haha XD ...
man... i hope that some more jrock bands come to the U.S. IN PLACES WHERE I CAN ACTUALLY SEE THEM!!! (i.e. not TEXAS)
anyways... it was really nice to finally meet you in person Molly ^^ (hmmm...this year seems to be the year for meeting online friends XD my friends' friend Sungie came down from Canada to hang out at AX...and...hopefully i'll egt my camera's developed soon and i can post a couple of pics ^^) i also find it interesting that we've been to ALL of the same Jrock concerts without ever knowing it XD
anyways...if i remember anything else (as in...if i read other reports and see something that i didn't mention, i guess i'll edit this post ^^)
